Choosing the right Lens

There are many considerations we have to think through before we can choose the right lens. Please feel free to ask our professional sales for their advice. We know the importance of communication. We enjoy communicating with client while providing the best lenses solutions. All we want is that you find the lenses that best suit your needs.

Size
We must consider several things to decide the suitable size of the raw lens. Some frame designs requires large lenses, sport style requires shield lenses. Usually we need at least 5mm for lens edging, depending on the lens edging type and lens quality. Some tinting processes leave clamp marks on the lens. These marks are about 2-3mm and inevitable, so please consider using proper lens size to prevent wastage.

Coating
We offer a wide range of coatings that serve different functions. For examples, Anti-Blue light coating is the best for office use. It filters high energy blue light form computers and smart phones. Anti-grease coated lenses are easier to clean and harder to get an oily surface. Please refer to the Optical Coating section for more information.

Material
We have lenses that are made from different materials. CR39, Glass, PC, Nylon and TAC. They have different properties such as optical quality, hardness, weight and cost. For example Glass is very clear but heavy; CR39 is lighter but may be too brittle to be used on some frame materials. For more information please refer to the Sunglass Lenses section.

Color
We have more than a thousand colors, from single to graduate to bicolor tints or injection colors. We use dip technology to create graduate or bicolor tinted lenses. We also offer customized tint so as to make sure that you have the color you want. Even graduate and bicolor lenses can be customized. We also offer laser techniques to coat different patterns on the lens.

We may have to consider that the colors of the lens will affect transmission directly. Fox example a light yellow tinted lens is probably category 1. A graduate tinted lens have darker color on top and lighter color at the bottom thus may change from category 3 on top to category 1 at the bottom.
